This is a bit off topic but not entirely.  I don't know the other
reference the slashdot folks made when citing this piece, but this
certainly stands alone as (imho) a good summary of supervisory insight
that remains strikingly absent in our community.  It's an overview of "How
to Manage Geeks", a la Eric Schmidt, CEO of Novell:
