Napster/Docster + Libraries - OCLC/RLIN = MARCSTER?



I know I'm a bit late getting into this discussion, but I think Dan's on
to a great idea. Let's take it even a step further - what if our
integrated library systems had docster-type features for MARC records
(or Dublin Core or other standards)? Envision a truly distributed
worldcat - with records freely available (I get goosebumps just thinking
of the possibility).

Hmmm, such a system would be a worldcat killer. Could we create such a
monster, um, MARCSTER?
