On-Line Tutorials
We're having some non-technical problems in putting together on-line
tutorials for various instructional purposes -- how to use the catalog,
database searching, etc. Ultimately, the librarians want this to develop
into a full on-line curriculum in information literacy.
I'd appreciate it very much if anyone could point me towards any of the
following:
- open source software (ideally PHP or PERL) that they have used
or could be adapted for use in successfully creating tutorials (we're
experienced web designers and have our own PHP applications, but would
love to find something that gives us a good blueprint or model to work
from)
- high-quality library web tutorials you've encountered, written,
or utilized
- suggestions as to how to structure a tutorial development
process when there seem to be some real differences in approach between
web folk and librarians.
Thanks for any help.
