SQL and ILS systems

A fairly new option from Innovative allows you
to migrate the underlying database to Oracle.
This is not cheap unless you have a site license
to Oracle, and there is a charge from Innovative
to do this also. But it is a major step for them
in opening up the system, potentially allowing a
variety of read only and even read-write access
(if you are confident enough to try it). I thought
I had heard this was an option with Sirsi at one time
also.
